The only problem I have with the entire Nintendogs company is that they do not have much variety in dog breeds. I highly recommend Chihuahua & Friends if you are thinking of purchasing a Nintendogs product. I purchased Nintendogs Chihuahua & Friends because I absolutely love dogs, mainly chihuahuas. It is basically the same game over and over again with a different name and a breed replaced by another. Overall the game is fun and is great for all ages. The graphics are life-like and they interact with you as if they were actual dogs. It teaches you what it's like to own an actual dog and is a great alternative for those who can not own a dog for whatever reason.
over time it kind of gets boring. its a great game with alot of effort in it, but it lacks the pull that some games have.
I got it within a week one of the fastest times ive ever gotten anything.
My coworker saw mine and she bought the game too and loves it and then she got her family members into it. You can own up to 5 dogs at a time. Sometimes I keep it on during work to keep me company LOL. During the walks, you can meet other dogs in the neighborhood. They all love it. My dog finds random things -- even a meteorite.
I got this game for Christmas. Use that money to buy food and supplies for the dog. There is a kennel where you can buy new puppies. I have grown attached to my puppy. You get a lot of play out of it and I don't get tired of it because it is like having a pet that I check on. You never know what kind of surprise is in the box your dog brings you. I'm not even a dog lover and I like this game. It keeps me entertained.
Everyone at work loves it and comments on how cute my puppy is. I have been playing this for 4 months now--a couple times a week and it is still going strong. The more you play, the more types of puppies become available at the kennel. She has her own identity and her own moods. See how he/she reacts.
You can play with other DS gamers' dogs wirelessly and trade gifts with each other. In fact, I'm going to walk my dog before I go to sleep tonight. She is a pet without the hassle of getting an actual dog. I walk the dog in the morning and evening during my commutes on the train. It is definitely worth the money.
You can also enter competitions for disc catching, agility, and obedience to earn extra money. You can train the dog, take it walking to find surprises in the street and sell the surprises for money. There is also different records/toys you can play to/with your dog.
He's looking forward to purchasing the same game though one that features different dogs. I like the fact that it's entertaining and educative without the need for violence or obscenities. Our 7 yr old son LOVES this game and had an easy time discovering how to maneuver around. It plays great on his Nintendo DS Lite.
